ADHD Support

I am a dedicated tutor happy to support children with ADHD in learning English and History. With extensive experience teaching as a volunteer in multiple countries such as Cambodia, Morocco, and Egypt, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique learning needs and challenges faced by these students.

Growing up in both Australia and the United Kingdom, I have had the opportunity to immerse myself in diverse cultures and educational systems. This has allowed me to adapt my teaching methods to cater to the individual needs of each student, fostering a supportive learning environment.

Having started my teaching journey at the young age of 16, I have accumulated years of practical experience and honed my skills in effectively engaging and motivating students with attention deficit. I am passionate about creating personalized lesson plans that incorporate interactive and multisensory approaches, ensuring optimal learning outcomes.

In addition to my practical experience, I hold two bachelor's degrees from the University of West Scotland and University of the Arts London. This academic background has provided me with a solid foundation in both learning and teaching, enabling me to deliver comprehensive, creative and engaging lessons that foster a deep understanding of the subjects.

As a tutor, I am committed to empowering students with ADHD to reach their full potential academically and personally. I believe in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported, valued, and motivated to excel.

Remarks:
When working with children with ADHD, it is recommended to structure the tutoring sessions in shorter intervals to accommodate their attention span. I suggest dividing each session into 25 or 30-minute intervals, with a maximum of three back-to-back sessions. It is important to include at least a 10-minute break between sessions to allow the child to recharge and refocus before the next session. I would suggest an average of 2 total hours per week for optimal results.
